More Pasture and Water: The big news for 2008 is the addition of another upland pasture and wetland area available to PSR hunters. We were fortunate to acquire a new pasture and wetland area late last year on a nearby wetland complex located a few miles
west of the ranch. Consisting of native prairie upland, and a large eastern-facing point, this new site -- named the West Camp Pass -- holds sharptails, deer and pheasants on the upland and attracts a pretty fair number of ducks, geese and swans in the pass area. The new pasture will be added to our rotational grazing regimen. At the same time we expect it will offer a great new hunting option and complement our other wetlands, especially in dry years such as those we've experienced recently. As with our other big water, we will set up permanent blinds in this area.
Legislative work on hold:
The North Dakota legislature will not meet in 2008 -- therefore we do not expect any major changes in nonresident hunting rules or regulations.
